    I approached a morris team and asked them if they would agree to change the way in which they perform some of their traditional dances, and to allow me to document the results. The team dance in the Border style, which is particularly vigorous and involves lots of stick-clashing. Border style dancers traditionally blacken their faces and wear tatter jackets.

    The dance featured in this video is usually accompanied by a tune called Fiddler’s Lock.
